A child was born with only one leg. The doctors did everything they could to restore the boy’s face. Nicky admitted she wasn’t scared when she saw the child for the first time. Her immediate thoughts turned to how she and her husband could help him. For a moment, the thought “What have we done? ” ” flashed through my head, and then I began to think practically – after all, so much had to be done…” Nicky said.
One year has passed since the adoption. Parents taught their son to walk first on crutches, then on a prosthesis. With the help of a speech therapist, the child’s speech may now be understood by others. Initially, Nicky says the children and people around were wary of Rustam and laughed at him. They shunned the boy and were afraid to play with him on the same playground. Her son’s story was eventually shared on Instagram by Nicky after she created an account. As they lived together, she began to upload his photos and share interesting moments.
Rustam’s page quickly gained popularity. The boy’s story attracted the media, and Nicky and his son appeared on various television shows. The main thing in a person is their soul, Nicky explains to her son, not their appearance. The road ahead for Rustam is long, but his loving family will always be there to support him.
