Margaret Cooper met her husband Alex many years ago, and they have been married for 35 years. When Mr. Cooper didn’t return from work one day, everything was going well.

It was a fruitless search. After taking her former surname again, it turned out that Alex Cooper was a fictitious name. All these years, a completely different person had been hiding behind it. Alex left for work in his car, which was found outside the city the next day. All the man’s belongings were in the car, but no one was nearby. There was a turbulent river flowing here, and the car was full of fishing tackle. It was assumed that the man had been swept away by the current and the search was called off. Since the event a year ago, Margaret decided to return her former name to the documents.

When she visited the city archives to file documents, she discovered that there were no records for Alex Cooper. It’s as if this person didn’t exist before. Margaret’s picture began to clear up gradually. After assuming a fictitious name and surname, an unknown man created documents for a new identity. He met Margaret under this name and lived with her for 35 years. During the fall of 1991, a Canadian national channel aired the story of Alex Cooper’s disappearance and attempt to discover his true identity. The next day, a man called the editorial office and said he recognized his neighbor. At the specified address, a man posing as Mr. Cooper was found. Albin Arsene Arsenault is his real name. After being accused of robbing a bank in 1948, he went on the run and made new documents.

Albin married Margaret under his new name, and everything seemed to be going well. Eventually, he had to change his driver’s license. Everything would have been revealed then. Therefore, he decided to disappear again. As a result of Albin’s return to Margaret, his wife eventually forgiven him. Children of “Alex” still tell this story in numerous interviews and TV shows today.
