94-year-old man builds swimming pool for neighbors: the reason will move you to tears

Humanity has a chance as long as there are people like these on earth!

After losing his wife, a retired judge came up with an unusual but noble way to fill the void in the house. An outdoor swimming pool was built in his yard for the children of his neighbors. The house has become “too quiet” since Keith Davidson, 94, lost his wife in April 2016: “For many years, nothing was more important to me than she was. After the mourning was over, I decided to do something else.

The best way to alleviate the oppressive atmosphere was to build a swimming pool for the local children. Our district is very friendly, full of children, and has a wonderful atmosphere. I thought it would be great.” In Jessica Huebner’s opinion, the Davidsons have always treated her children like adopted grandchildren: they enjoyed spending time together, telling stories, and having fun.

Keith and late Evie have always been kind and beautiful neighbors. When children play in his yard, he loves them very much.” He contacted a local family business that made the pool at his previous home 40 years ago. His yard was soon being excavated by an excavator, as the company still exists. There was great joy among the neighbors! Huebner says: “One day he suddenly said, “Jess, I want to build a pool,” but I thought it was just talk. After that, I saw that he had already marked the yard, that a concrete mixer had arrived, and that there was already a gorgeous pool! ”

With dimensions 5×10 m and a depth of 2.5 m, the pool has a sloping bottom and a 2 m springboard. According to Davidson, “They love swimming, but I only allow them to go with an adult. Being a lawyer and a judge, I have strict rules.”
