An award ceremony was held in Sulphur (Louisiana) to honor Jaydan Fontenot. The mayor proclaimed the boy a hero and presented him with symbolic keys to the city and a diploma acknowledging his extraordinary deed.

It would have been impossible for Ashley and Dax to survive without Jaydan.During her 34th week of pregnancy, Ashley Moreau, 36, went into premature labor. When the woman went to the toilet, her water suddenly broke. Seeing her baby’s legs already out, Ashley was horrified.Jaydan was the only one at home.

The husband of Moreau had already left for work. After hearing his mother’s cry, the boy immediately assessed the situation. His grandmother lived in a neighboring house, so he ran there. In spite of calling the emergency services, Grandma was unable to help Ashley on her own.Jaydan hurried back to Ashley, who was lying on the ground. Keeping his composure, he replied, “Okay, Mom.”. Let me know what to do.”The boy did not seem scared, he looked calm and acted bravely. “I’ll tell you what to do,” I said. The only thing you can do for your brother is to pull him out. As soon as possible, because he is in the wrong position and cannot breathe,”” Ashley Moreau recalls.

“As I was in shock and panicked, I began to cry… But he was so calm that, looking at him, I also calmed down… I saw that he was scared, but he knew he had to do it,” she adds.As instructed by the mother, Jaydan turned the baby around and gently pulled it out by the legs. When the boy realized the child wasn’t breathing, he rushed to the kitchen and grabbed his 11-month-old sister’s nasal aspirator.

Using it, the boy cleared the baby’s nose and pumped air into his lungs, allowing him to take his first breath. As soon as doctors arrived, they took the woman and her newborn to the hospital. The mother and child are in perfect health at the moment. As soon as doctors arrived, they took the woman and her newborn to the hospital. The mother and child are in perfect health at the moment.
