Ten years ago, Jack Smith adopted a stray kitten and named him Tinga. As Jack’s daughter nursed the newborn, she intended to care for him for the rest of her life.

After moving a few months later, Tinga lived with her father, who was working for a construction company at the time. His legal foster parent, the man who had taken over his care, was determined to keep the cat.

My day begins at 7:00 a.m. Around 6:30 p.m., Tinga jumps into my lap and starts purring. According to Jack, the animal’s owner, “It seems like he understands everything and feels the same way as me.”

Tinga will welcome the man when he arrives home at midday. Jack cradles him after he heats his meal and begins to eat.

While curled up so comfortably on Jack’s lap, the cat occasionally nods off. Tinga follows Jack wherever he goes. Tinga was blessed to be found at the right time and place by the man!
