Their mom waited for 36 years for their twins to find their biological parents after they were stolen

A Chilean dictator broke a law many years ago to alleviate poverty. Rather than open new jobs and promote high-level education, he took a different approach.

He simply stole newborns from their parents and placed them for illegal adoption through a huge network. Élan and Micah Nardi, twins born under this severe regime, also experienced its actions. Separated from their mom in 1986, they registered among the 8,000 to 20,000 children.

Most stolen kids have been sent to North American or European families since the 1970s and 1980s. As soon as their mother brought them to the hospital to be examined and treated, the authorities took them away. They slashed the door in her face and told her to wait. The young mother saw her twins for the last time. They lived in Massachusetts for 36 years with their adoptive family. They decided to search for their roots after hearing about the strict regime of the Chili twin brothers on TV.

As soon as they discovered their identity, they decided to visit the country and look for their mother. It was their first time hugging and kissing their biological mother after 36 years.
