While volunteering for the elderly, Taylor-Danielle Pearson, 27, met Irene Smith, 81. It didn’t take long for the women to find a common language and become friends. Ten years ago, Irene was widowed and has been all alone ever since.

Now she has a “foster family” – a daughter, a grandson, and three granddaughters – thanks to a new friendship. “Grandmother Irene” won the hearts of the children. She regularly visits them, plays with them, and gives them gifts. Christmas will be celebrated with them, of course. As an example, Taylor-Daniel wants to inspire others to do good deeds and invite lonely old people to their holidays.

Michael Pearson, her husband, supports her in this noble endeavor. Irene Smith has lived alone for the last ten years. Until she met her new family, she rarely left the house. When I met Irene, I knew immediately that I wanted her to join my family because she lacked a family environment. I invited her to tea. She was a hit with the kids! At first glance, there was reciprocity. Our feelings for Irene were similar,” says Taylor.

It gives her strength to enjoy life again when she communicates with children. “We had a wonderful Christmas last year. Both the kids and I were eager to open their presents. Christmas is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I feel like a grandmother to the children, and I have already gotten to know the family. In this year’s holiday celebration, we’ll be outside the city with a large group. “I am very happy! says Irene.
