In the past, Waralop, 44, had better days. Living under the platform at the station, he took odd jobs for several years.

One day, he saw a wallet on the platform and decided not to experience karma, found the owner and returned it. The owner of the wallet turned out to be a millionaire, who very quickly thanked Waralop for being honest. Even in appearance, the wallet dropped by a man hurrying to the train was clearly expensive. As a homeless person, the amount inside should have been impressive. Weighty wallet. Although Waralop himself had only 9 baht (25 cents) in his pocket, he decided without a doubt to take the find to the local police station without even opening it.

The wallet was returned to the police by surprise. The man could easily take the wallet for himself and no one would ever find it. They accepted Waralop’s find and made an inventory: 20,000 baht ($520) and many bank cards in a Hermes wallet. They found the owner easily. As a young businessman, he owns several metal structure factories. The wallet was not only returned to him, but Waralope, who found it, didn’t take anything from it. Niity Pongkriangyos offered Waralop 2,000 baht for finding him. He politely declined, saying he didn’t deserve it. A different approach was taken by the entrepreneur. As part of Niity’s new offer, the homeless would have access to a workers’ hostel.

Waralop accepted this offer and received a salary of 11,000 baht. At the factory, he didn’t hack and tried hard. Six months later, Niity promoted him. Thai newspapers quickly published the story, and the former homeless man became a national hero. He now works in a factory and is grateful for one simple act.
