A Georgia boy and his sister slept soundly together at night.

A strange smell woke him and he saw a fire burning in their bedroom. As he carried his two-year-old sister out through the window into the yard, the child acted surprisingly calmly. Noah returned to the house, which was engulfed in flames, to save the dog. Then he rushed to the neighbors for help. The Georgia Fire Department commented later that Noah’s quick reaction saved the day. The house also housed six other people, including the young hero and his sister. All of them were saved.

Dwayne Jamison, the head of Georgia State Fire Department, commented on Noah’s actions: A child has reported a fire to an adult before. It is very unusual for a five-year-old to be so attentive and not panic in such a situation.” The fire was caused by a short circuit in the children’s room. All members of the family suffered only minor burns and mild carbon monoxide poisoning. Everyone has already arrived at home. The young hero was named an “Honorary Firefighter”. Currently, the Woods family is collecting money to restore the badly damaged house.

Noah’s grandfather David Woods, the oldest member of the extended family, says: I thank Noah for his courage and vigilance; if not for him, everything could have ended much worse.
