Carlos Morales, 36, of Phoenix, lost his wife Erica to profuse blood loss during childbirth. She gave birth to four healthy babies, which the widower now has to raise on his own.
In the days leading up to the birth of his wife, Carlos was working on construction work outside the city. “I was looking forward to the end of my shift, because I thought it would be the happiest day of my life. The man said, “He became the most terrible.”
He found his wife’s room closed when he arrived at the hospital. Carlos was told by the doctors that Erica would not be able to give birth. “She was fine until something happened. In a matter of seconds, she was gone. It was a terrible experience. Carlos Morales said, “I couldn’t believe what happened.”
Before passing away, the woman gave birth to four twins: three girls and one boy. Paisley and Erica are still in the hospital, and their father visits them daily. Carlos Morales realized that a builder’s salary would not be enough to raise four children, so he launched a GoFundMe campaign.
Over 300 thousand dollars were donated to the widower by compassionate Internet users in a month. The man, however, does not intend to hire a nanny. Everything must be learned from scratch – how to feed them, how to bathe them, when to put them to bed. I will do everything in my power to make sure that my children grow up healthy and wealthy,” said Carlos Morales.
