In St. Louis, a sick puppy lived in a garage behind an apartment building. For all this time, local residents threw furniture and unnecessary items into the garage, without noticing its furry occupant.

Chowder, used to such a life, hoped for a miracle…
A miracle happened in the life of Chowder one rainy day when he was noticed by a kind man.

Chowder’s trust in him surprised him when he fed the puppy and gave him some water: Chowder ran to meet me as soon as I approached. His friendliness is remarkable. The man was happy that someone was kind to him.” – he says. Chowder was also referred to Stray Rescue, which responded immediately with a volunteer to pick up the puppy.

He also trusted the rescuers – they successfully delivered him to the shelter. Chowder embraced the volunteer the entire way, as if he were thanking her from the bottom of his heart for saving him. It was evident in his eyes that this boy was so happy to be saved when he entered the shelter.

Veterinarians discovered that the dog had a severe eye infection and began to treat him. Chowder was sent to his temporary house once he recovered from the stress a bit.
