There are some animals that can fly, others that can swim, and still others that can both swim and walk. However, some very diverse species make friends with each other and surprise those around them. Friendships between fur and feather are not impossible.
Patrick and Kirsten Riley from Strout, Minnesota, adopted Mas when he was 5 years old. The two huskies got along very well together. Sasha died soon after, and Max’s heart was empty. This emptiness could not have been filled by a duck’s friendship.
Patrick and Kristen brought Max a duck named Quackers, and Max fell in love with him. The two became close friends and did everything together. It’s not uncommon to see people stop their cars on Highway 28 to see this wonderful couple most of the time.
