She was rescued as a puppy from a powerful flood as a deaf dog. Despite her age, no one wants to take her from the shelter. Cleo still hopes for a miracle after many years have passed.
Cleo was rescued from a massive flood in Louisiana, USA, as a puppy by the volunteers of Safe Haven Animal Rescue. A woman named Ham cared for her – she was unaware that the dog was deaf.

Cleo behaved like any other cheerful puppy, despite her deafness. The girl turned out to be very kind, sweet, and friendly. As she grew up, they began looking for owners for her… However, the sad part of the story began here…

Despite being taken to families twice, Cleo was returned both times. After six years, Cleo still lives in the shelter, hoping one day kind people will come and love the dog unconditionally.

A lot of people say that Cleo is a cute dog, that she is adorable, and that they would love to take her home. Unfortunately, Cleo has already heard a lot of similar speeches,” says Ham, the dog’s guardian.

Cleo has already attended about 30 animal events with volunteers, where she could be sheltered, but no one was interested in her. Cleo appears to be difficult to care for due to her size and weight of 40 kg, as well as her deafness.

She is unpretentious in her care and maintenance, and her deafness does not interfere with her happy dog life in any way, according to shelter staff. She truly deserves to find the most loving home as soon as possible!
