A domesticated hedgehog named WaIdo lives in Farnborough with Nikki, Jackie, and Jackie’s sister Jackie. He enjoys going to the bar and taking the dogs for walks. In the West (Algeria, Egypt), domesticated hedgehogs are called African pygmy hedgehogs since they originate in hot African regions.

The popularity of domesticated hedgehogs as pets has risen since the 1980s. The hedgehogs are typically albino or extremely light-colored and prefer warm climates. A shelter gave Nikki WaIdo to adopt.

It was a pleasure to have the hedgehog as a friend. Upon offering their prickly cat a treat, the new owners discovered he grinned gleefully. Nicki and Jackie take WaIdo to the bar every Friday where he socializes with his owners’ friends and eats sweetcorn.

Three-year-old WaIdo is intelligent, sociable, and gets along well with Nicky’s dogs and people.

According to Nikki, “I believe he was once a dog.” As a result, all of Nikki and Jackie’s friends adore him and shower him with gifts. Isn’t it stunning?
