Sarah walked out onto the porch one morning and saw a white cat in need of assistance. Despite being pregnant, she already had two adult kittens.
She was allowed in, though, and immediately assumed temporary charge of eight different creatures. Five of them were still in utero. My cat Ela brought her kittens to my porch for the first time about two months ago.
They appear to be about a month old. Sara believes. Sara called the vet, who brought the kittens and mother cat in for a checkup after feeding them. A healthy cat family returned to their temporary home.
Ela gave birth to five healthy kittens while Sara was caring for her, and she later relocated with them to another foster family. In the new home and around guests, the mother cat quickly became comfortable.
The kindness and concern she displays for all of her kittens never ceases to amaze her owners. Ela’s older kittens have been adopted and moved to new homes, but her smaller kittens will soon be adopted by others.
