A shelter for hundreds of stray dogs. The refuge was founded by a chef who worked in a restaurant. A stray dog came up to him one evening and he began feeding her every day.
The many dogs on the streets in need of assistance immediately caught Mike’s attention. Initially, the cook fed a few stray dogs, then a few more, and eventually discovered he was caring for 100.
In order to care for stray dogs, the man abandoned his former way of life. He inaugurated a shelter in 2018. More than a thousand animals were saved in four years by him.
His initial approach was to take them to a nearby veterinarian.
The shelter houses 700 dogs and employs a large crew on a daily basis. It is considered to be the largest in Thailand. Each day, this building requires $1460 in maintenance.
