Their mission turned out to be an animal rescue, even though they were skilled anglers. A cat in need of assistance was found by Branson and his closest friend while ice fishing at Pangich Lake. There was no way for the hapless creature to get away from the thin ice. The unfortunate man was saved by Jackson, however, despite the risk to his life. He took a picture of the event with his friend.
In spite of the fact that the film appears to be clear, the fisherman had no idea what to expect. As the ice was thin and the deer were terrified, they might easily be injured, making matters worse. To save the bereaved animal, Jackson took a chance.
