Meryl, a three-year-old pit bull, met Tako, an eight-year-old pit bull, at a shelter. From the moment they met, our heroes were inseparable.

If they are separated for more than a few minutes, they start weeping and wailing. Thus, they share an enclosure and sleep in an embrace in the shelter.

A man came to the shelter a few months ago. As he was looking for a wonderful partner, he instantly fell in love with Meryl. After completing all of the paperwork, he was ready to greet her.

When Tako and Meryl were brought out of the enclosure, they began whining. Their gazes exchanged somberly. She refused to move, keeping all four paws on the ground.

As a result of witnessing such strong attachment, the man decided to either adopt two dogs at once or not adopt any at all. He chose the first option, which was a good thing. Tako and Meryl lived in the same house.
