Lisa was expecting a child when she arrived at the shelter. She was placed in a loving home right away, sure that she would give birth to six pups.
Early in March, Lisa gave birth to a much larger brood of puppies than expected. The number of puppies Lisa gave birth to was twice what everyone expected.
It was fortunate that Lisa was well-prepared and quickly adjusted to motherhood, allowing her to devote her full attention to her large new family. As a result of the number of puppies, Lisa’s rescuers had to help her care for them.
The young dogs are generally behaving well and maturing as they should, and that’s what matters.
Everyone was surprised when Lisa gave birth to so many adorable puppies. All 12 puppies are doing well, and the team is looking forward to finding them the best permanent homes when they’re ready.
