A sheepdog named Ford lived in a refuge for ten years because no one wanted to hug him. It had taken him a long time to become accustomed to his condition. A shelter worker said he’s great with various dogs.

Ford was unfortunate since he witnessed several different dogs going back and forth to their new homes. According to everyone, he could never have imagined himself as his owner. It was his former owners’ decision not to care for him that led to his abandonment.

As soon as he became friendly and extraordinarily vivacious once more at the shelter, he made friends with every member of staff. Learning to trust a new person took time.

When Louise, Ford’s regular dog walker, thought of bringing Ford home, Ford was fortunate. Ford is also inside his home at this moment. ‘He caught us all by surprise.

As soon as my wife got home from work, he plopped down on the couch and began to happily welcome her, as if he had been there all along. “We miss Ford in the shelter,” says the shelter staffer.
