He was found wandering alone in the streets of California, with crusty, sad eyes. As a result of starvation, Ray had lost his fur coat and his body was skeletal.
Leaving a pup behind is a terrible sight. An ill or elderly dog may not be cared for by family members. However, they do not know the extent of the dog’s suffering. The Carson Shelter’s staff saved Ray. He was able to regain some of his health with the help of shelter volunteers, but he remained depressed.
At the time this is written, Ray has been adopted! His attitude towards other humans has not changed. Ray continued to greet everyone enthusiastically and lovingly. We hope that Ray will recover quickly and will continue to receive devotion and care.
