When Froggy was admitted to the Broward County Humane Society, rescuers gave him bed linen and a stuffed frog to help him rest and feel comfortable. Froggy was delighted to receive his own toy for the first time. His new friend enthusiastically grabbed his hand and wouldn’t let go.While carrying its stuffed frog in its mouth, the dog whined for hours in pleasure, according to Broward County Human Society digital marketing consultant Susan Leonty.

Last summer, Froggy was rescued from an abusive kennel in Virginia along with 4,000 other beagles. Along with 120 other shelters and rescuers, the Broward County Animal Society volunteered to find new homes for the dogs. When the dogs arrived at our shelter, they had tattoos in their ears with numbers instead of names. In the dog shelter, we found him holding a fluffy toy frog in his mouth and refusing to let it go. As a result of his response, we named him Froggy after his favorite toy.”

His plush toy was taken by Froggy as a babysitter. His teeth were often found in the mouths of rescuers in the kennel. As soon as the plush finished cleaning, Froggy returned to his favorite toy immediately after swapping out a new one.

Eventually, Froggy moved in with his permanent family and left the humane organization. Once he gained self-confidence, he became an athletic and energetic prankster. Froggy realized that there were so many things to enjoy in the world after initially being sent home with his comfort toy, and no longer worried about being sent home.

Thanks to the dedication and help of so many animal lovers, Froggy no longer has to worry about being alone. When he was a child, he was afraid of losing his one little comfort.
