An owner attempted to neuter a young blue pit bull on their own and found him in a Detroit park. The dog was abandoned after the neutering procedure went awry.

It was fortunate for him that Detroit Dog Rescue discovered and saved him, and he was treated as soon as possible. In great agony, the dog had a hole in his belly from which his reproductive organs were leaking. Even worse, veterinarians suspect the puppy was tortured and tossed from a car before he was found.

Five weeks after his injuries were treated at Oakland Veterinary, Chandler was doing well. As a result, he has been referred to their referral services and has even found a permanent home! Three-month-old Chandler has been adopted by a couple from Hazel Park. A perfect match for the pup, they were both Detroit Dog Rescue volunteers.

In addition, Chandler will have a new big sister to play with! Chandler is doing well and will live a long and healthy life. Like any puppy, he enjoys going for walks. He’s quite energetic, which is great since his new parents are active and enjoy being outdoors.
