Corona resident found four adorable puppies on his property one day. When he first started looking for their mother, he thought she might be somewhere nearby, but she was nowhere to be found. When the man put the little creatures in a box, he took them to the local animal shelter, 2nd Chances Rescue. After seeing the puppies, Andrea, a rescue volunteer, fell in love with them immediately and took them to her house, since they were too young to be adopted.
While the kind woman took good care of the puppies, they soon found someone else taking care of them and loving them. The tortoise was named Goliath, and it might have looked like a dog. In addition to being a rescued animal, Goliath shared a deep and long-lasting bond with his human. The orphaned pups were introduced to Andrea’s giant friend, an 80 pound giant named Goliath. As the four new family members formed a special bond with the gentle giant, their friendship flourished.
Andrea was unsure whether Goliath would accept the puppies, but she was wrong. The kind woman was in panic one day when she couldn’t find the puppies anywhere. Eventually, the concerned woman discovered them inside Goliath’s shell. It was then that she realized there is a special bond between giant tortoises and little dogs. The orphaned puppies were so happy to see their giant tortoise friend give them all the love they needed. As soon as Andrea saw how happy the puppies were with their new friend, she decided to keep them.
