As well as friendship and unconditional love, his 14-year-old dog kept 80-year-old Ken Pendagraft living and going outside. Neighbors said he was friendly and kind, but kept to himself most of the time.

Leaving the house was rare for him. Everything changed when Zack, his 14-year-old dog, became ill. The neighbors rallied around Ken when he was losing his mind. Ken couldn’t afford to take Zach to the vet. The old man was in tears, and Carol Bert could not pass him. Someone caring may be able to help the old man save his best friend by sharing what happened.

Elaine Seamans, founder of the At-Choo Foundation, responded to Carol’s publication. She did everything in her power to save the poor dog. Zach died as a result of a severe diagnosis.
