Piglet is a cute pink puppy who has become a symbol of acceptance, kindness, and inclusion. Melissa Shapiro rescued a blind and deaf toddler from an orphanage. A puppy was born completely deaf and blind in the US state of Georgia, in a small house with 37 other dogs because of the owners’ irresponsibility and mixing.

More than two years ago, Melissa, a veterinarian from Connecticut, found him in a shelter thanks to animal rights activists. She sheltered him to find him a home later, but after a couple of months she could no longer part with him. She had to make a difficult decision because he had to devote a lot of time to it. Her full-time job is taking care of him, but he is so cute that she couldn’t part with him.

The Shapiro household had seven dogs, including Piglet. His new family took a long time to get used to – he constantly whined and was afraid. She couldn’t leave him alone for a month.Piglet eventually overcame his fears – after a while, he was already playing with other dogs. Social networks have not been able to keep up with his popularity.

One Massachusetts teacher learned about him through social networks – during one of her lessons, she told her third-graders about him. Dogs are examples of coping with difficulties, accepting your characteristics, and not giving up. Piglet mindset is what she called it. A year later, they surprised the children with a gift. Everyone started crying when Piglet and three other dogs walked into the classroom with them. They thought they were going to get a FaceTime call.”

Piglet is now being talked about in schools in Alabama, Connecticut, even in Japan and Australia, thanks to Shapiro’s online program. In addition to inspiring people to overcome problems, Piglet inspired many page subscribers to adopt a dog from a shelter.

Additionally, Shapiro admits that she donates all the money from advertisements and merchandise dedicated to the Piglet to shelters that care for dogs with certain characteristics. The puppy has raised over $30,000. Please forward this article to your friends and family if it was interesting!
