During a recent trip to Norway, photographer Mads Nordsveen came across a rare white fawn.

When this creature appeared, he was looking for a beautiful place to shoot. It was virtually undetectable against the snowy backdrop since the fawn was completely white.

The newborn deer approached the camera and posed for a few photos instead of fleeing or hiding. The baby’s mother emerged from the jungle after the surprise encounter, but he took a few steps before returning to her.

Mads said it was like something from a fairytale. As a result of a genetic abnormality, white reindeer lose their black color, allowing them to blend in with their snowy surroundings. They have black patches around their eyes and on their horns, unlike albinos.

It isn’t the first time Mads has had to deal with dangerous creatures. While traveling across Norway, he encountered a lynx and a pack of wolves. Since the animals are good for photography, he appears to have a kind demeanor.
