Animal interactions in the wild can sometimes be even more fascinating than those depicted in books and cartoons. This is illustrated by the relationship between a dog and a wild fox. She lives in Norway with her owner, who is also a photographer.

Clearly, the fox and dog are unaware that they are different species, since they play and frolic together as if they had known each other their entire lives. As a result of observing the attachment between the dog and the fox, the owner opposed factory farming and the fur industry.

Foxes are caged before they are killed for their pelts. There is a striking similarity between foxes and dogs in terms of behavior and mentality.

As the owner writes on social media, “it breaks my heart to think about the millions of foxes like the fox who live their entire lives in cages.”. In order to play, the fox (and the animal) spend all of their time together wandering around the woods near the owner’s home.

Despite being constantly recorded by a camera, the dog and the fox don’t seem to mind. Most important to them is enjoying each other’s presence.
