Every profession depends heavily on luck, and photography is no exception. In order to succeed 50 percent of the time, you have to be in the right place at the right time. A rare melanistic tiger was captured by Indian photographer Sumen Bajpai. Sumen took full advantage of the rare opportunity he had to pose for the camera, even though he only posed for a few seconds.
Sumen Bajpai travelled to a wildlife reserve in Odisha to photograph monkeys and tigers. A tiger with a mutation then entered his frame, resulting in stripes that are considerably darker and bigger than those of other members of the species.
Sumen said the beast emerged from the jungle for only a few seconds, but that was enough time to take photos.
A zoo and a wild tiger have both been seen by Sumen.He used to have normal animals, but now he has a melanistic tiger. According to The Sun, there are approximately 6-7 of these tigers in the world. Assumen was able to film this animal, which had previously only been photographed by camera traps, in a reserve where just 1-2 tigers of this species reside.
