Life can be challenging for animals who cannot walk alone due to their disabilities. These creatures are getting the freedom they deserve thanks to people using a little creativity.
In order to save a newborn lamb, an organization donated a wheelchair. Kicki was born on a farm, but after her mother rejected her, she fought for survival. In addition to being starving, she was unable to walk due to her mother’s rejection.
A group of people took in the lamb, promising to give her a second chance. She has overcome challenges and is receiving wonderful care, but her rescuers realized she would not be safe until she could stand independently.
As stated in her blog post, she spent much of her early life lying on one side of her body and resting only on one side of her body, resulting in terrible pressure sores.
A harness was provided by the organization to help her. Standing on her own two feet is such an important milestone for her! ’’ Although rehabilitation will take a long time, her caregivers are pleased with her progress.
