A somewhat odd event has occurred in the Reserve. A photographer captured numerous images that shed light on interactions and behaviors between wild animals of the same and different species. These photos show a lion pride.
In the middle of the path, a lioness notices a cub lying on the ground. Foxes are in terrible condition. As her maternal instincts take over, the lioness decides to save the defenseless fox.
As she stands near the fox, she orders her pups not to bother him. This decision, however, is not supported by the other troop members. Afterward, a lion questions the lioness about this unusual arrangement
He doesn’t understand why she would protect something so basic. Even if this means standing up to her own family, the noble lioness keeps her word to protect the baby fox.
Eventually, the lion gives in to the lioness’ demands, and the fox is allowed to accompany him. The fox tries to rise and heads back home after a while.
