Many dogs are kept outdoors in conditions that are far from ideal. As a result of poverty in Romania, shelters don’t receive enough food from donors, so dogs don’t get enough to eat. Bella was weak and terrified. No one had ever touched her. No one had ever touched her.
Bella and her rescuers go straight to the vet. She sits next to her new human friend and smiles calmly in the car. When she is shown love, she realizes that her life is about to change.
It was exhausting for Bella. Rescuers reported that Bella was barely sleeping. It was difficult for her to feel safe in her kennel. As she sat there, she closed her eyes as she was stroked. I’m amazed at how relaxed she is now.
Bella then does something very reassuring. She places her head on her Savior’s lap. On the way to the vet’s office, she gets some sleep. The car is quiet, and the woman next to her is kind and gentle. Bella needs this. A dog has to feel safe at all times.
