It was love at first sight for Nila and Hisoka. There is a lot of time spent together between the 5-year-old rabbit and the 12-week-old kitten. Heroka had her own feline siblings, but she preferred cuddling with her closest rabbit friend over them.

It would be great for Hisoka to have siblings, and it would be nice for them to be together,” Nila and Hisoka’s mother Alina told The Dodo. Instead of choosing her own adoptive siblings, she developed a relationship with Nila.

Most of their time was spent hugging each other when they weren’t watching television with Alina. Heroka, myself, and Alina were Nila’s only targets for cuddling. Nila’s universe is all we know, she said.

In early July, Nila passed away. Hisoka still sleeps in the bed they shared, keeping the memories of their unique love alive. It was common for them to cuddle and share a bed, according to Alina.

Her kindness always seemed to be appreciated by him. We were overflowing with delight as we observed them interact and felt such a strong kinship between them. Alina said, “They made our lives so much happier.”.
