There is never a time when Diana is alone by herself. There is always a little friend nearby, ready to keep her company. As Issyl is known, she is a rescue. Wombats unable to survive on their own were given a haven by Diana.
Three months ago, the animal lover spotted Issyl for the first time. Due to climate change, they have found it very challenging to survive in recent years. There was no doubt in Diana’s mind that the small wombat needed her help.
As soon as she arrived at the sanctuary, Issyl felt secure and bonded with Diana, wanting to accompany her everywhere. Therefore, Diana devised a plan. As they walk each morning, Issyl waits patiently at Diana’s feet.
Diana was composed and ready to accept Issyl’s help when she arrived at the refuge. Wombats usually do not like people, but Issyl found that Diana was a different kind of wombat. Most likely, Issyl likes the carrier because it reminds her of how comfortable her mother was.
The little wombat will live out her days in the sanctuary, so she won’t have to worry about being alone again. Having a comfortable carrier and a place to call home has made her very happy.
