The little Andy had left wasn’t good for a frightened dog who wanted to be euthanized. Eldad Hagar and his rescue team, Hope For Paws, intervened to save Andy, a dog described by the shelter as “overly aggressive.” As he pulled on the leash, he huddled in a corner. Having been frightened to the point of defecating, the poor dog’s howl signaled his distress.

Eldad’s attempt to console Edie revealed a deeper need. After a few minutes, the dog calmed down and surrendered to his care. The only thing that could calm Andy’s restlessness and aggression was the comforting touch of a caring individual.

Minutes before his time was up, Andy was subdued and saved from euthanasia at Paw Hope, where he was loved and cared for. Bronwyn Mirkovich adopted Andy in less than a week, while the orphanage gave him a breath of fresh air and much-needed love. Andy was able to be reunited with his new owners after a trip to San Marino, where Mirkovic was able to catch him.

Sadly, many shelter dogs that need to be euthanized won’t experience a happy ending like this one, so it’s important to shed some light on the countless shelter dogs who are still waiting. Don’t buy, adopt! If it was interesting to you, please share it with your friends and family !
