Anne O’Connell brought in a 2-month-old black Lab from a shelter 14 years ago. On a cart, he had been abandoned. Cherry ended up in Anne’s home, despite her desire to avoid getting a puppy.

Anne and Jamie, who are engaged, are both veterinarians. Cherry, who was 14 when they married, was very important to them. September was the month when they got married. It was discovered this year that the dog’s health was seriously compromised.

In the week before the wedding, his condition deteriorated, and Anne decided to bid him farewell. Cherry, however, had no incidents at the wedding. It didn’t appear to be him.

He led the owner to the altar! However, he couldn’t return. Sister Anne carried him in her arms. All of us were moved to tears by such an emotional event.

Cherry left them about a week later. A loving family surrounded him as he drifted off to sleep at home in front of the stove. Anne says it has been a wonderful 14 years.
