The NYP officer Andre La Vote noticed a scene while driving along a busy street last week. A driver stopped, reached over, and rescued two squirrels.
Due to the fact that the children were left alone, Andre felt unable to abandon them. In such cases, it is best to return them as soon as possible. On his way to their proper location, he carried the animals with care.
The tree growing next to the road had a squirrel nest in it. The man put the squirrels in the nest to help their mother find them.
However, they refused to turn away from their savior. Andre let the kids play in his arms for a while. After putting them in the nest, he departed.
Several social media users commented on Andre’s empathy and generosity when they saw the image on the NYSP’s official account that day.
