When Louie, a 12-year-old dog, went missing for several hours, his owners became concerned. His return with a loving message around his neck, however, caught the family by surprise.
Sheepdog Louie has been a part of Marolyn Driver’s parents’ farm in New Zealand since he was a child. At a few weeks old, he was an energetic puppy who loved going around their property and investigating their neighbors. He began to linger out about their home as his daily schedule changed as he grew older.
This is why Louie’s parents became concerned when he didn’t show up for many hours one day. Marolyn saw her parents distraught on that particular day when she went to see them. After a few hours, the dog came home with an odd letter around his neck. There was a feeling of exhaustion and filth about Louie. According to his relatives, someone threatened to harm him. After reading the handwritten message, they became more relaxed.
Rob described Louis as his hero, and brought him to his dog Maddy who was trapped behind a branch pile.Maddy was the dog of the family’s next-door neighbor, Rob. Their fate was soon revealed to them. The same day, Maddy went missing as well. Rob, her owner, began searching everywhere she may go for her. The search, however, was unsuccessful. After returning home, Rob ran into Louie, who insisted he follow him. After following Louie’s instincts, Rob found his missing dog entangled in bushes. He helped Rob locate his companion by digging.
It was this heroic dog that saved Maddy’s life. Louie refused to eat that day because he was exhausted, so he dashed to a neighboring pond and jumped in its water to drink. Maddy was playing with Louie when he noticed his friend in the basket on his owner’s bicycle.
