The Wild, Blind, And Deaf Cat Prefers To Live Near A Store Where Employees Take Care Of Him Rather Than Be Rescued

When the store manager contacted a shelter to help the stray tomcat, she thought she was doing the right thing. Nevertheless, he did not see it the same way! Finally, he won.

Jada Hamby owns the lighting and decoration store Home & Light Valdosta in the State of Georgia. A bench alley cat was discovered in March 2021 by the young woman and her employees. He was obviously blind and deaf. In addition, he refused to be approached. Sensitive to the animal cause, Jada contacted a local cat shelter. Its goal was to recover the tomcat and place it in a safe environment. Rescuers tried several methods to capture him, but to no avail. Jana told The Dodo, “He foiled all their plans.”.

Dumpster, as he was nicknamed, seemed very comfortable in his surroundings. Despite his severe handicaps, he moved easily. Afterwards, the shelter members explained to Jana that a feline in her condition would suffer greatly if it were moved. In addition, he was so wild that they feared he might be impossible to socialize one day. The efforts to capture him will therefore continue, but only for the purpose of sterilizing, identifying, and vaccinating him so that he can live a healthy life.

A veterinary clinic was consulted for Dumpster’s treatment after some time. He was then returned to his habitat, where he feels so at home. Since then, Jana and her team have provided daily food to the tomcat. Above our boxes, he enjoys basking in the sun and sheltering from the rain. He meows and demands breakfast every morning! A very talkative cat, he enjoys conversing with us,” she explained before adding that he has recently been willing to be stroked.
