Ludwig Timm, a German photographer, has many beautiful photos of nature on his Facebook page. There was something particularly charming about the most recent snapshot, however. Regardless, most web users agreed.
Ludwig captured a video of the squirrel family napping. Three squirrels slept on their backs with their mouths open, while one cuddled the other. The photographer explained that at first he was drawn to the twigs blown away by the wind on his windowsill. A construction project had begun here, he discovered later.
In the following weeks, the photographer began to follow the rats who had successfully built a nest, and soon a cub joined them. One day, the animals ventured out of the nest to slumber. So as not to miss the occasion, Ludwig began taking pictures with a smartphone.
A series of photos quickly spread across the internet, causing a lot of excitement.
