Adopted dogs know what it’s like to be abandoned before finding a loving and caring home better than anyone else. When her owner took in stray kittens, the dog’s reaction was the sweetest and most uplifting thing you’ll ever see.
As if they were her own kittens, she took them in. It’s definitely a maternal instinct. As soon as I gave her the supplies, she said, “Let me help them.” These are her descendants.
She would inspect, clean, and sniff them when I let her out. Doggy takes his job very seriously. In order to protect them, she will block other dogs from them and put herself in their way.
Her human immediately offered to help when she saw an online post about three kittens that needed a 24-hour bottle. Due to how loving and natural-looking her response was, it seemed as if the dog had given birth to the kittens. Every time she has a chance, she cleans them and keeps an eye on them. She feeds her own humans when she goes over.
