The Birth Of A Pair Of The World’s Most Rare Quadruplets Draws Public For First Time

The white sporadic lion results from a genetic mutation resulting in an entirely white coat.

They’re not albinos! White lions have unique fur characterized by laicism, which causes only part of the pigment to be lost, while the lip and eye pigments remain.

There are only 13 wild lions, but 100 live in captivity. Earlier this month, four white lions were added to the east China zoo!

When the zoo posted pictures of the quadruplets, thousands of people immediately fell in love with them.

November 6 marks the birthday of these white lion quadruplets.  Nantong Forest Safari Park in Jiangsu, China, is the place of birth.  Each of them is a male.

Zoo photos show baby lion cubs playing, eating, and posing for the camera. In Nantong Forest Safari Park, there are several healthy and thriving lion cubs. Their first public appearance came just a month after birth. There are currently about 100 white lions in captivity, while there are 13 in the wild. Despite being described as a distinct species, white lions are not considered to be a separate species by the Global White Lion Protection Trust.

It is important to note that white lions are not on the endangered species list because of their rarity. As a result, these creatures are not protected.

Several members of Global White Lion Protection Trust’s team shared something on their website. Accordingly, white lions are listed as Panthera leo, which is a Vulnerable species. They will likely become extinct unless trade is closely monitored.”
