Rescuers’ four-legged heroes: domestic corgis and shepherd dogs

In Pavlohrad, Corgi Elton and Shepherd Bullet are furry Ukrainian heroes who help rescuers with difficult tasks by following their search training.

Maria Romanova owns the dogs, and she is a volunteer, so she attends training sessions with them so that they can help those in need.

As a 14-year-old, Maria had a corgi puppy – Elton. As soon as he grew up, she began working with him at Pavlograd’s Antares search and rescue pen. Since Elton is 3.5 years old and officially certified in search and rescue operations, he has become an indispensable assistant. As well as the corgi, Masha recently got the shepherd Bullet, who was presented to her by Elton’s breeders. After seeing how well the first fluffy had been raised, they decided that the girl should have two heroes.

Masha, Elton, and Bullet have saved, are saving, and will save people. It is our hope that fluffy virtues will soon grace the covers of magazines and headlines of newspapers.
