Katherine and a friend rescued a cute kitten from the street one evening. It took 3 months for the strange creature to change color, and his eyes became increasingly tough.
Katherine found the kitten on the streets of Hamilton, a small city in New Zealand. The tiny gray ball of fur was completely helpless and had not yet opened his eyes at first, so she mistakenly thought he was a rat. It was her responsibility to take care of the baby 24 hours a day.
